Today, a wonderful treat occurred…The Children’s Theatre Company performed “The Biggest Little House” for 14 enthralled year before kindergarten children at Kaleidoscope Preschool. The one actor play is engaging, giggle-producing, and provides a sweet tale of friendship and generosity. This renowned theater company is presenting this play at their stage, as well as coming to ours, and is well worth consideration for the long weekend or a summer day. For more information, check out their website at http://www.childrenstheatre.org/2010/house.html. The arts are a great way to encourage the introduction and practice of literacy skills in preschoolers. Draw, paint, tell stories, retell stories, sing, dance, and pretend!
