It’s the Week of the Young Child! Sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), this annual event is a time to highlight the need for each and every child to experience the type of early environment–at home, at child care, at school, and in the community–that will promote positive connections and early learning. The early childhood programs at the Harley Hopkins Family Center are having a parade through the building to mark the week, but there are many ways to participate from as simple as taking a moment to read, sing, and talk to a child, to thanking a teacher or caregiver for their care and dedication, to supporting local and national efforts to provide quality early childhood programs for all.
